There are some key tips to help you keep your weight and help you to lose weight.
-Portion size. Simple concept , bigger the plate....it is more likely to fill it with more food. So investing on small plates can help the portion control part. Smaller portion sizes contributes to weight loss.
-Eat breakfast. I really don't understand how can anyone skip this meal. I could not function if I don't have breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is a very important meal, start the day with your metabolism strong. I personally like fruits,granola,yogurt and a little orange juice (a lot of people are against orange juice, but again portion size!!!! )
-Decrease intake of sugary drinks. They are nutrient poor and calories rich. This applies to "diet" drinks as well, a lot of them are full ingredients that you don't need or want in your body. I am not going to lie, sometimes I do like a cold soda. But I limit my intake of these sugary drinks for "special occasions", not a everyday drink.
-Increase exercise activity and decrease calorie intake. Aim for 500 calories a day. Combining both will help to lose weight faster. (Example- Burn 250 calories exercising and cut 250 calories from your diet.) When you put that way doesn't seems that hard right?
-Eat more whole grain, vegetables and fruits. Less stops at Fast Food restaurants (if going for fast food choose grilled options and opt-out on fat condiments.) I can repeat this over and over again, eating healthy is the key. Make your plate a rainbow , the more color the food in your plate the better.
